How can I get the number of times a value has been read in an UIPickerView?
I have a UIPickerView in my iPhone project and I would like to know how can I count the number of times a specific value has been read in this UIPickerView. I just want to know, for example, how many times user has pressed the button in the first row.
Is there any way to do this?
As far as I know, there is no built in way to count how many times a value has been selected. You would have to keep track of that yourself. This would be done by maintaining a array that contains all the data for your pickerView. If you wanted, you could make this a property inside the data source for your pickerView. Then when the user selects a row, you would have to check to make sure the data you were storing, was the same as the data in the previous row.
If you are going to build a picker like this, you should also consider adding support for multiselecting so a user can select multiple values from the same row. This makes this a lot more complicated.

For your project to be successful, I would definitely consider releasing it under a liberal license, like the GPLv3.0. If you had a commercial background, I would go even further and release it under a free-software license, like the AGPLv3.0, or even the BSD.
This was the biggest win for me in the new install. I need to hook my workstation
up to the internet once in a while and this has been extremely frustrating as I have
to download all of my favorites and cache them. Now, however, I can set the server
to automatically pin my packages, and it will happen every time I connect to the
internet (via ethernet or wireless).
